Julie Cougar...

On Thursday, I Photographed the band, Julie Cougar. The shots were taken in Image Red Studio in Tamworth (the studio I always use and would recommend).
This was their first shoot as a band, and my first Studio band shoot (my others have been location). With this, they were a little unexperienced with the poses, as myself and Brian (the studio guy), had to try to help them with more looks than they were used to. It was an experience to shoot a four piece in the studio using only one light and a reflector light. At the beginning, it was a bit difficult to get the light so strongly on everybody, but got easier once I got the lighting sorted to how I wanted it.
For this shoot, the band specifically asked for promotional shots to go with their style of music. As they play as a band which do covers, they wanted photographs to show that they are a function band, so was a little different to how I would have photographed a rock/pop band)
Throughout the shoot, they got a little more comfortable which showed off greatly in the photos. I feel as though the photographs turned out great and represent the band greatly! They also did a great job for their first shoot!

Halloween Photoshoot...

On 31st October, I photographed a Photoshoot with the theme of Halloween. It was my first shoot of it's kind that I had done before.
We originally planned to do a location photoshoot, but as the weather did not hold up, we decided to do a Studio shoot. Again, we used Image Red Studios in Tamworth. This was the third shoot tat I had worked on with the MUA Kristy Bowyer from KLB Make-up Artistry ( www.facebook.com/KLBMakeupArtistry )
On my photoshoots, I let the Make-up Artistes have all the time they need to get the look perfect. The idea was that Kristy (MUA), was to be a model aswell (her second professional shoot with me), and brought along a male model, Haydn Turner. This was his first shoot, and on this day, he didn't have to do much, as he was the victim, and Kristy was the Vampire.
I feel that the make-up was amazing again on this shoot, and both models did great! There were a few outtakes from the shoot, as you can imagine with the different ideas we tried (some where Kristy was ontop of Haydn, were particularly embarrassing for both). But we had great fun shooting this Photo shoot. Plus, I got some great shots that I'm very proud to have for my portfolio!
Like I always say, I will continue to work with Kristy, as she as amazing ideas, and when boh of us work together, the theme always comes across greatly!
Thank you to my models Kristy and Haydn.

Naughty vs Nice...

On Wednesday 3rd August, I was the photographer on a shoot at Image Red Studios.
This was another shoot that I was working on with the MUA Kristy Bowyer. Again, she did a great job with this shoot. At the beginning, all I knew about this shoot was that the title was 'Naughty vs Nice'. I did not know anything about what the looks were going to be, and the make-up, other than one model was to be a 'dark version' and the other was the 'brighter version' - sort of like heaven and hell.
Kristy takes care with her makeup and will not let the model shoot unless they were perfect for the idea she is trying to get across, and had to redo one of the make-up pieces as she wasn't completely happy.
The model for this shoot was Tammy King. This was her first studio shoot in a number of years, and was her first real fashion/beauty photoshoot. Tammy did an amazing job for her first professional photoshoot - her looks and emotions were perfect and she took direction very well (which I liked as you can get first-models who get a little nervous with their poses).  Looking at her photos after the shoot, I only had a few weren't great (obviously with blinking) but overall the photos were really great and I'm very glad that I used her. As you can see in the photos below, her eyes are the brightest blue and are so beautiful that they work so well with beauty shoot as they're captivating and draw your attention to the beauty in the photographs.
The MUA on the shoot was also a model for the shoot, as she is an aspiring model, and the photos could be used for both her model and MUA portfolios. For a model with no modelling experience, Kristy did great. At first she was a little nervous as she hasn't been in front of the camera before, but they went away pretty quickly and her photos were great. The looks suited the concept of 'Nice', looking angelic.

The photographs for the shoot looked amazing and I am very pleased with how they turned out. Both the model and MUA love the photos, and they've had a great response already! I feel that I got the concept across in the photographs and made both models look beautiful.  I'll definitely use both Tammy and Kristy again on my shoots, and I also have another photoshoot booked with both of these girls, which I'm incredibly excited for.

More of my photographs are available on my facebook page and my Flickr.

Online Boutique Update...

As some of you may know, for the past few months I have been doing various photoshoots for a new online boutique. It's been a while since I completed the last Photoshoot, and I'm excited to see the results on the website.
The website is to be launched sometime this month, but has had to be changed several times because of technical difficulties of creating the actual website itself.
No one has seen any of my final edits of the photographs other than the models and the Boutique's
owner.
When the website goes online, I will post up some of the photographs and will give a link to the website where the clothing and items featured will be available to purchase. I'm very excited to see the website and all of my photos.

Thanks for all the support,
Chloe :)

Collette Bowyer...

On 16th July, I did my first proper Model Portfolio shoot. This was with a model called Collette Bowyer, who is just starting out in the modelling business, this shoot was also her first model portfolio shoot.
For 17, she was advanced in the the movement of her body and her expressions, and knew her focus points.Throughout her shoot, she didn't have any bad photos (which is rare for models I have worked with previously).
I also had Make-up Artist Kristy Bowyer on hand to create the gorgeous make-up looks of the shoot. Kshr us the only make-up artist I have used on my shoots, as she does amazing make-up which suits the concepts of the shoots.
I would love to work with her again, as she's very advanced and knows what looks good for her.
I used a studio called 'The Studio', previously 'Image Red Studio' and they offer great prices and help if needed. Here are a few pictures from the shoot on the day.
For more photos from the shoot, take a look at my facebook page www.facebook.com/chloeluckinphotography

Wales...

I've just got back from my trip to Wales for a few days, and I managed to get some great photos. I visited some great places like Aberystwyth and several beaches. I've always wanted to get some beach photograpy, as the last time I went anywhere with a beach, it was awful weather. Because of this, the photos wouldn't turn out very well. I don't edit any of my Place/landscape Photography, as I feel it defeats the object of this type of photography...just my own opinion. I, however, do use photoshop sometimes for other photos...but, hey, which Photographer doesn't?
I hade a great visit, and I hope you enjoy the photos, some of which I've placed underneath.
